Sumit and Anisha

Category: design

We came together with the bride and groom, our talented friends at Soiree to create a romantic setting in which the couple had their engagement session.

Sumit proposed to Anisha in the sweetest way! He took her to Lakeshore in Mississauga, Ontario where they had their one of their dates. As they sat on the beach, he gave her a DIY scrapbook that contained all of their happiest of memories; Anisha assumed was their 1st anniversary gift and as she flipped to the last page, there written was his life altering question…”Will you marry me?” And the rest was history!

With Sumit’s DIY proposal as our running inspiration, we spoke to the couple about what settings best suited their personalities. We collectively decided on a rustic barn with glowing warm lights and a drive in movie theater feel to create a relaxed romantic setting. The couple brought their DIY proposal scrapbook, made thank you signs, as well as brought sheets for the homemade movie screen! We also contacted our friend Anil at Soiree Design and Planning to help bring our vision to life when it came to building the rest of the set. Kamal, our graphic designer at Banga Studios, created the movie posters and theater save the date ticket invitations for the couple.

With “The Notebook” on the projector, we started our shoot to what became one of our most creative engagement sessions!
